Robbie Tester is the Vice President of Operations for Erlanger Health System. He joined Erlanger in 1998 and worked his way through the ranks as a flight paramedic, Program Manager and the Administrator of the LIFE FORCE flight program. In 2015, Robert was named Vice President of Operations for Erlanger Health System. He currently oversees operations of LIFE FORCE, a six helicopter air medical program based in Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina, Erlanger’s Regional Operations Center, Pre-Hospital and Disaster Medicine and Regional Business Development.
Robbie earned his paramedic science degree from Dalton State Community College, his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Georgia State, and is completing his master’s in business and health care administration. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is boarded as a Certified Medical Transport Executive, Certified Flight Paramedic, Nationally Registered Paramedic, is licensed as a paramedic in Tennessee and Georgia, and holds many other instructor and provider certifications in pre-hospital and emergency medicine.
Robbie also serves on the boards of: International Association of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics – as State Delegate; State of Tennessee Division of EMS Air Medical Committee-Chair, Clinical Issues Committee, and Tennessee Region 3 EMS Directors Association; He also serves as an Associate Professor for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine’s Emergency Medicine Fellowship program and as Captain and EMS Coordinator of the City of Fort Oglethorpe Fire and Rescue Department.
